What is morris worm

Worm that is generally called as the computer worm is the type of malicious softwares or the infection that can infect the architecture of the internet technology as well as the of computer system. Worms are independent and they have ability to reproduce on their own. The first computer worm that has been created in the 1988 is the Morris worms. Its name is this because of its inventor or creator Robert Morris. It is first worm ever that has been used by different people to infect the internet technology because it has power of self replicating and is completely based on the internet technology and hackers use such advantage to spread it to different computer networks.

Architecture of the Morris Worm:

The main body of the Morris worm can only attack the UNIX machines that re based on Sun-3 and DECVEX etc.

How Morris Worm Works?
Morris worm can work specifically like the other malware infections that are used by the hackers to break the protection of the computer network or internet technology. As first it was thought to be a technological friend but later it will change in the infection due to the presence of some critical errors in them. If we talk about the working of the Morris worm then we have come to know that it works completely with the help of internet technology otherwise it is difficult for work. Morris worm target a particular computer network on the intent and then try to locate the computers that are connected with that network. After locating the computer Morris worm send a copy of it self in the form of programs to it and when computer downloads such copy it infect the main components of the computer system and the internet technology.

Effects of Morris Worms:
Morris worms are used in large quantity to spread the infection on the computer networks with the help of internet. According to some reports Morris worms have ability to infect more then 5000 systems and most of the time UNIX machines are the victims of the Morris worms. The Morris worms are known to spread infection among the 10% of the computer connected or associated with the computer network on the internet. Due to the higher effect of the Morris worms they are also referred to as the Grater worms. Some times Morris worms are also used to infect those computer systems that are trying to download different applications from the internet. One of the important things about the effects of the Morris worms is that they have ability to affect more then 40,000 systems at a time by breaking the circumstances of the internet technology.
