What is Nanotoxicology

In emerging world of sciences, scientists are exploring new and dynamic formulations of nanotechnology but at the same time adverse affects of Nanoparticles cannot be put aside. For the purpose of understanding the negative effects of nanotechnology area of study is formed which is known as nanotoxicology. Nanotoxicology is the study of the toxic and fatal effects of nanomaterials and its particles. Nanoparticles have some toxic affects because of there extremely small size is hard to see and prevent these particles form penetrating in plants and animals.

Nanotoxicology is basically a branch of nanoscience which is used to study and evaluate the reactions of applications of nanomaterials .nanomaterials are useful as well as extremely harmful if they get in contact with living organisms directly. Particles up to 100 to 300 nanometer can be evaluated for testing toxicity.

Nanotoxicology Toxicology of Nanoparticles

Nanoparticles are sub divided in to the compositions of many other sub particles such as carbon nanotubes from the Nanoparticles of carbon and the volcanic chemical Nanoparticles form the nano particle of lava etc. Toxicity of particles increases as they get smaller in size because when they are small they can easily floats in air and could cause serious disorder in living beings such as lungs cancer, head ache, blood pressure etc . Nano particles cannot be seen with the naked eyes then we can easily imagine the level of toxicity in every nanoparticle which is exposed to environment during the manufacturing process of nanotech applications  .Nanoparticles have much larger area of the surface as compared to non-nano particles, its extreme compactness make its highly flammable . nano particles can easily penetrate in the skin of human beings and animas. Toxicology explores the reactivity and harmfulness of theses nano particles, it also provide us with the solutions to de toxicate the affected body. Nanotoxicology is studied in every field in which nanotechnology has application .it has further sub fields which are specialized in specific area such as electronics, medicine, computers, chemistry etc.

Interaction nanotoxicology with biological system.

With the increasing development of nanotechnology and its extensively used applications, a wide range of nano-structured materials are now used in, pharmaceutics, cosmetics, biomedical products, and commercial industries. While nanoscale materials have more unique physicochemical properties than bulk materials, they also have unpredictable impacts on human health. The entrance into human body and interaction of nanomaterials has generated severe scientific curiosity and mystery, attracting much attention and increasing concern from the public, nanomaterials-based industries, academic world, and governments through out the world. Nanotoxicology is the first Art of study, which addresses the multidisciplinary area all those points, which everyone should understand. Nanotoxicology has uncovered the negative side of nanotechnology. It also measures the toxic affects and toxic potential of every nanoparticle.

Nanotoxicology in the filed of chemistry

Importance of toxicology rises in the field where nanotechnology is the dominating technology, in the world of chemistry. It facilitates the scientists and researchers to understand the toxic effect of chemical bonding and reactions. With the help of specialized devices and machines, scientists could see the unseen toxicity and gases that releases form the manufacturing plants and while using the applications of nanotechnology.

Nanotoxicology in the field of medicine

How nano drugs should be treated, how excess quantity would affect the patient, surgical procedures side effects, all three of above are answered by toxicology. In the field of medicine   pharmists and doctors are studying nanotoxicology as subject of there degree programs as it important to explore the destructive features of nanotechnology. With the help of nanotoxicology now, pharmists can also detect the herbal plants which have nanoparticles penetration
