Nowadays wireless technology is very famous among the people of the present era because it really advances the life by introducing the wireless communication between two places for the sake of different kind of businesses such as meetings, data transferring from one wireless to other wireless devices. There are many components that are involved in the configuring the wireless device for networking in the wireless atmosphere. One of these components is the access point.
It is defined as the device used in the wireless networking for setting up the connection between the different wireless devices and the wireless LAN using different types of services such as Bluetooth and many more devices related to such technologies is known as Access point. Access points play a major role ion the wireless networking because they can provide the only way for the wireless networking devices to perform the different tasks of wireless media such as data transmission, business enhancement and many more. On the basis of their working access points are branched into diffrent types that perform the task differently.
Types of Access Points:
There are different types of access points but the important types are as follows that arte involved almost in all types of wireless networking.
Stand-alone Access Points
A type of access point that is required for providing the connectivity in rare numbers and it is only used for specific purpose such as SOHO is called as stand-alone access points.
Lightweight Access points
A type of accessing device that is based on the central networking and these access points are configured for large working on the networking, they are attached on the central access point that can access all the devices in the whole networking media is called as lightweight access points. They are complete depends on the Access controller.
Virtual Managing access points
The type of access point that is formed by the combination of the stand-alone and the lightweight access points is called as virtual management access points. These access points perform the networking tasks at the advanced or the higher level.
