There were also significant differences in Files and Folders  the File and Folder in XP proffers creating new folders ,publish files and folders ,copying ,renaming, deleting, moving and sharing of folders and files. However the File and Folder menu in Vista brought many additions like List, small icons, details, medium icons and tiles. However traditional cut, copy, paste, redo, delete, undo and rename properties were made into a drop down menu and it appeared when the organize button is clicked. Moreover the address bar was developed to give a breadcrumbs preview. It provided with the option of full path instead of pressing the repeat button again and again. The menu bar appears when we press the Alt key. The available check boxes allows for the variety of multiple files.

Major Differences in Vista and XP

There are many differences in Vista and XP depending upon their features. It is important to mention here that whenever we try to compare two Operating systems we always end up finding Vista as a more advanced version of any of Microsoft’s existing OS. It is easy to deploy Vista than to install XP. Windows Vista contains a pre installation environment that offers administrator the ability to build up offline windows settings. The application compatibility toolkit gave the administrator enough flexibility in order to examine and analyze if any application is compatible or no. these features were not part of the XP. XP received popularity because it was the only OS which contained many user friendly features which made it possible for Microsoft to sell more than 400 million copies of it in the first year. However the main draw back for XP proved to be its security. Vista was constituted of more security features like firewall, anti Malware and user Account protection.  The home edition of XP received many complaints regarding its slow start up, whereas Windows vista is ranked high for quick start up. Though Vista is believed to have many advance features and versions the users of XP are still not willing to replace it.
