What is Fat client
Introduction:
In the computational field client is defined as the network accessing computer that can access the remote device with the help of other computer known as server. There are different types of clients but the one of them is fat client. A type of client that is present in the working of the server for the sake of the accessing of the network and its working is not dependant on he server and can perform different type of tasks independently. Different type data can be collected by the fat client from the central server and can manage on its capabilities without the connection with the server. It is also called as the thick client.

Architecture of the Fat Client:
The architecture of the fat client is quite similar to that of the thin clients but some of the differences are always there between the two technological and computational devices. The architecture of the thin client governs the dependant on the server, its speed and the processing. But the fat or thick clients are independent of the server and can do all of its working, storing, and processing on its own basis. Comparatively both clients are good for working but fat clients are better in some cases.
How Fat Client Works?
All the type of clients have a similar fashion to work for the sake of the better and the cheap networking in different locations. Thin and the fat client have similar working but only the installation and the setting up then client with the server is little different. But working of clients also has some type of limitation when the different types of softwares are involved in the working of the fat or thin clients. In the working of the fat clients first of al configure or install the different type of servers such as DHCP. Its working is not complicated because it needs little connection with the server, as it is an independent of server support and can perform its entire task without depending on the serving devices. Working with the help of fat clients can also lower the cost of networking and provide reliable working to the users for the sake of communication.
Advantages of Fat Clients:
As we know that fat clients are independent of any type of serving device so they have many advantages that play a beneficial role for the users in the way of communication between different locations. There are many advantages of the fat or the thick clients but some of the major and the important benefits of fat clients are as follows
