What is Networking internetworking

Networking internetworking is a technology in which different type of networked computer systems are joined together to form the large networking media is called as the internetworking. May forms of computers networks are connected wit the help of different devices such as gateways to develop such type of network that is referred to as the internetworking. As different type of networks are involved in the internetworking but when they connected together to perform their duties like a single unit. Generally it was developed by keeping in view the issues of the past related to the technology and suggests different ways to solve the problems.

How Networking Internetworking Works?
The working of the networking internetworking technology is quite similar to that of the working in which the transmission of the data takes place between two different places. Internetworking provides the site of attachment to all the computer networks weather they are of different nature or of different architecture. The principle that is used in the technology of internetworking is the formation and the transmission of data packets. With the help of this principle it combines different networks to create a larger one. The packets are then move into a special type of technology or the architecture that is called as the frame and with the help of this they can join different networks together. A special type of device is also use that plays an important role as abridge between different networks for the sake of their joining such devices are called as gateways or they are also referred to as the routers. They support or promote the transmission of data packets among the networks.

Architecture of Networking Internetworking:
Architecture of the networking internetworking is not specific that it is based upon different modules. Generally two different types of models govern the architecture of the networking of internetworking. These two models are as follows

Open System Interconnection (OSI).
Internet Protocol Suite

These are two models that are introduced and passed by the International Organization of Standardization. Different type of hardwares and the softwares are used to carry on the working of theses two models. The second model that is internet protocol suite was developed for the sake of confirming the working of the OSI model. Different types of network layers are also the part of the networking internetworking. For example the two important networking layers of the networking internetworking are the link layer and the internet layer etc.

Important Devices used in Networking Internetworking:
There are number of different devices that are used in networking internetworking for the sake of developing different connections among different computer networks to create a single unit for performing single tasks. Some of the common and important devices that are used for such purposes are as follows

Gateways:

One of the important devices that take part in maintaining the connection is the gateway. It is a type of device that is used to connect different type of networks associated with different protocols to form a larger or a single network is called as the gateway. The job of the gateway is very similar to that of the router.

Routers:

Another important device that takes part in connecting the different networks from each other is the router. They may be wired or wireless but the modern or the latest technology deals with the wireless routers. Generally it consist of the hardware or the software connection such as router device is hardware and its driver or configuration are the software units
Some of the other devices that are rarely used for such networking of the internetworking are the bridges, repeaters, modems, hubs etc.
