Steps to improve system & hard drive performance

Hardware optimization using software
Hardware efficiency and speed can be increased by various means. It is possible to increase the efficiency of the PC by improving hardware, like using high capacity RAM. However if we are required to increase the efficiency of the system using software, we have to go through certain steps and a series of efforts. The effort required is not in terms of installing the software but in terms of finding the best suitable software for your PC. When it come run PC smoothly, the key is to optimize the performance of the hard disk by clearing the temporary and junk files as soon as possible. But it is just not limited to that. Let's move ahead for more information on that.
Why to Optimize hard disk ?
The performance of the personal computers start to slow down as more programs and data is loaded on the hard disk. Some operating systems have built in mechanism to clear the memory and enhance the performance like Mac by Apple, Windows and Linux. However there are now unlimited options available in the market to optimize the performance of your computer. It is important to clear your memory, lower the load of the cookies on your system by clearing the history of the internet surfing. Try to upgrade the hardware like hard disk and RAM for even better performance. Moreover use compatible software and try to remove unnecessary programs and files. The performance of the hard disk is a key component considering the ways to improve hardware efficiency. The hardware slows down over time it self, because every time a computer writs or reads a file from the hard disk some of the performance declines overtime. To prevent the system from any troubles, run good antivirus malware or spy ware, and scan system at regular intervals in order to avoid slow functioning of the entire system caused by such melicious software.
Set of Steps to be Followed for improving computer speed
In case of windows as operating system, You can optimize the performance of your PC by following simple and basic steps. First step is to go to configuration utility and type in msconfig in the command bar, preferable Run command. Then move to the start up Tab and verify or mark uncheck on the applications that you do not use at all. Next important step is to uninstall the programs that are not frequently used. Deleting the unused programs enhances the efficiency of the system, by increasing the space on the hard drive. This also helps in limiting the time consumed during start up. Another way to improve the capability of hard drive is to perform disk defragmentaion, this program takes few hours in order to complete some times, depending on how professional your system is. The purpose of defragmentaion is to clear the hard drive and the back up drives by eradicating files and flotsam and jetsam, when a new file is copied or stored. Also make sure to use good anti virus softwares in order to prevent the system from dawdling. Try to use programs which can become a safe guard against, pop ups and spay ware.
How to Optimize Hard Disk
The hard disk can not be improved suddenly. Therefore, there is a series of steps to improve hard drive performance . First of all do not overload RAM and hard disk with too much files and unnecessary downloading from internet. However if you do so, remove the unnecessary data by following ten important steps.
These steps include
Defragmentaion: Use in built utility of Windows to defragment your hard drive for better speed.
Verification of disk errors: Scan your hard drive for errors regularly to consistent better performance.
Clean reycle bin: Regularly clear out the files and optimize recycle bin. Recycle bin is part of hard drive, it take space. Keep it empty for more hard drive space.
Avoid Hibernation: Avoid hibernating your system as much as possible, it uses extra bit of space and decrease system performance.
Compression and encryption: Use different utilities to compress your hard drive data, it can improve your hard drive perfomance.
Switch to NTFS file system: Avoid using FAT file system and use NTF instead. Try to immobilize the 8.3 filenames to overcome the NTFS overhead.
Try to build more space for the master file. render inoperative time and date updating and develop a DMA for IDE drive.
These are few of the steps that can improve performance of your PC. There is one important point which is worth mentioning here, make sure you shuts your computer down properly, do not shut down directly by taking plug out. That can destroy system performance. Use UPS to provide your system un interupted power supply.
